About MPAA

"Promoting the achievement of excellence..."

Incorporated on 26 April 2017, in Washington, DC, the Mother Pearl Alumni Association (MPAA) is designated a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charity in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code. 

 

MPAA was established to provide financial support for the achievement of excellence of Howard University students, as well as to maintain and sustain select historic edifices of the University. 

MPAA is also a benevolent donor to Howard University’s endowment funds, including the Graduating Seniors fund, and the Alpha Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Memorial Endowment Scholarship Fund, established at Howard University to meet the financial needs of students at Howard University.

 

MPAA funded restoration of the historic Benjamin Banneker Memorial Sundial located on Howard University’s upper quadrangle; it is an iconic symbol and has functioned as a student meeting point since 1929. The historic Benjamin Banneker Memorial Sundial is registered with the North American Sundial Society as Sundial #880. (www.sundial.org)

Join MPAA

Membership to the MPAA is open to formers member of Alpha Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity (ΩΨΦ), both initiated through or former transfer to Alpha Chapter, who are in good financial and disciplinary standing with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.  Additionally, membership is open to any individual who has had a significant impact on Alpha Chapter either in an advisory capacity or financial support.
